Bio

Aristide Kambale is a distinguished environmental analyst from the Democratic Republic of the Congo with experience in the humanitarian, educational, and business development sectors, as well as organizational change. He has a strong background in Environmental project and program management, with competencies cutting across various facets of sustainable development and climate change.

His passion revolves around helping local communities initiate, deepen, and scale up climate action and locally-led adaptation through increasing their climate-risk knowledge and capacity, fostering innovation, strengthening partnerships for action, and accessing climate finance for resilience building. ​ Currently, Aristide works as a consultant at the Global Resilience Partnership – GRP where he engages and develops key private sector partnerships through GRP’s role as the implementing partner of the US President’s Emergency Plan for Adaptation and Resilience – PREPARE Call to Action for the Private Sector.

This includes coordinating and amalgamating outputs from private sector partners in concert with the communications team and the US Government. In addition to this, Aristide also works at the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre, where he supports the climate and conflict team across multiple projects including developing and testing innovative solutions for climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction in fragile, conflicts and violent contexts (FCV) in Bangladesh, Mali, Columbia, and Malawi. He was also involved in developing a guide that leads the Red Cross National Societies and other humanitarian organizations across the world in the implementation of early warning and action systems in these FCV settings. ​

Aristide is a Master of Science degree holder in Environmental Change and Management at the University of Oxford, where I was a Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholar and a United Nations COP 15 Delegate. Also, he holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Carbon Management from the University of Edinburgh and a bachelor of science in Environmental Science at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, in Ghana. In his free time, Aristide enjoys taking beautiful landscape photography, going to the Gym, as well as talking to people in his network.
