Ivan is a Computer Engineer by training, an MBA scholar and a passionate Pan-Africanist who exemplifies the transformative potential of fusing technology, governance, and public policy, for sustainable socioeconomic transformation. For over seven years, Ivan has gained valuable project management insights from various perspectives including government, development partners, and the private sector.
Driven by a commitment to foster the growth of the African entrepreneurial ecosystem, Ivan focuses on nurturing a thriving tech-empowered start-up/business community in Uganda through; – Private Sector Diplomacy; Corporate Innovation; and Product Development support to enterprise communities. Ivan’s work revolves around leveraging technology to address our communities’ most pressing challenges in areas such as Access to Justice, Public Sector Accountability, Scaling Access to Education, Sustainable Energy Solutions, and Access to Quality Healthcare, among others.
As an expert in Protocol & Public Diplomacy, Ivan has crafted and implemented strategies to promote and communicate Uganda’s Foreign Policy value proposition to both local and foreign publics, utilizing traditional and new media channels. Additionally, he adeptly coordinates State Protocol for high-level meetings, conferences and summits. Ivan’s core technical skills encompass Diplomatic Administration and Communication, Multi-stakeholder Management, Strategic Innovation & Partnership Management, as well as Technology & Business Development. Ivan is recognized as a World Economic Forum Global Shaper, an Acumen Academy Foundry Fellow, a Rotaractor, and a proud LéO Africa Institute YELP Fellow.
