Mohamed Shidane

Mohamed Shidane serves as a Policy Advisor and Team Lead at the Office of the President of Somalia, steering a dynamic team at the Ministry of State for the Presidency. He utilizes his extensive expertise in policy, strategic communications, and institutional development to spearhead national progress. His experience spans collaborations with government bodies, the private sector, and international NGOs, where he champions sustainability and effective governance.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Shidane actively leads the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community Mogadishu Hub, focusing on community advancement. He is also a co-founder and project lead at Rays Initiative, a local venture aimed at empowering Somalia’s youth to become future leaders. Furthermore, Shidane is a founding member and Senior Partner at GeoAfrik Consulting Group, a leading consultancy in Somalia dedicated to fostering development initiatives.
