Peter Mulira

Peter is an accomplished entrepreneur and business development professional committed to creating positive social impact. As a business development consultant at Kadafrica, he supported the Girls Agriculture Investment Network (GAIN), empowering 1500 out-of-school women to learn about passion fruit cultivation and generate income. This experience inspired him to join the Uganda Investment Authority (UIA), where he advocates for Ugandan investors and facilitates their success.

His pursuit of knowledge led him to earn a Master’s degree in International Business Administration (MIBA) from Eslsca International Business School in France. This combined theoretical expertise with practical skills gained at UIA.

Notably, he organized the Solidarity conference, raising $300 million to support refugee-hosting districts and identifying investment opportunities in 14 districts. Recognized for his capabilities, he attended the UNCTAD SGD training in Arusha, Tanzania in 2018, where he received a certificate of participation. He collaborated with UNCTAD on a project to identify investment prospects in Uganda’s health sector.

Peter’s leadership skills were pivotal in securing a grant from the African Development Bank to enhance Uganda’s position in the World Bank Ease of Doing Business report. Moreover, UIA became the lead convener of the AGRF Deal Room for Uganda through a partnership with AGRA.

He is currently engaged in a partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, contributing to the Africa Works program. Peter is committed to supporting domestic investors, particularly youth and women entrepreneurs, by providing capacity building, technical support, and market access. In his personal life, Peter enjoys activities like reading, jogging, swimming, and researching Uganda’s rich history.
