Ivan Magomu

Ivan Magomu is a lawyer working as an Associate with Hills Advocates & Solicitors. He is also the Captain of the Uganda National Rugby Team 15’s (Rugby Cranes) and the Stanbic Black Pirates rugby team and a member of the Legal Committee at the Uganda Olympic Committee. He is also a Founder of Hope for the Next Generation (HNG), a CBO based in Mbale empowering Children in marginalized communities through Education, Juvenile Justice, Promotion of Talent, and Restoration of Hope.

He has a career objective to realize the highest truest expression of myself through a satisfactory legal career in my area of Sports Law and Juvenile Justice.

Throughout his sports career, having been able to represent the National Team from the U-20 level to the Senior side, and going on to captain the same, not forgetting doing the same at my local side the Stanbic Black Pirates, despite the various hardships, high and lows, he has been able to learn, adapt and apply qualities such as Teamwork, leadership, problem-solving skills, excellent interpersonal skills, planning skills, dedication, hard work and mentorship which I believe has helped me become a better citizen.

He is very passionate about Sport, travelling, farming, and Charity. He aspires to be that person who gives the next generation reason for hope.
